What's your cleaning and sanitization process?

We clean and disinfect all VR equipment after every use, including the masks on our headsets, headset lenses, and controllers. Our disinfectants are also qualified for use against COVID-19 by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Sanitizing our equipment and facilities is always a standard procedure as health, safety, and cleanliness is a priority.

What is your response to Covid-19?

Providing a safe and clean environment for our guests and team members is more important than ever and is the top priority for us. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and want you to feel at ease when you come to VRWePlay. Here are some of the changes we’re implementing in response to COVID-19:

FOR GUESTS:

  • We recommend playing with your family or regular group of friends
  • Sanitizer stations for you to use before and after your experience
  • Contactless setup to continue social distancing
  • Limited bookings to reduce contact between groups

FOR TEAM MEMBERS:

  • Team member health/temperature check prior to starting their shifts
  • Team members wearing masks and gloves while cleaning the devices
  • Increased cleaning times of frequently used areas
  • Multiple hand sanitizer stations

WHAT’S NOT CHANGING:

  • A private session for your group
  • Continued sanitization of equipment after every group
  • Disinfectants qualified for use against COVID-19

We hope these changes will ensure a safe environment for you to enjoy the VRWePlay experience.

How do people avoid bumping into each other?

Each VR player is stationed on their individual flat boundary circle mat at least 6 feet apart from the next player. In addition, a virtual guardian boundary is set up on each VR device for the experiences in which you move around in the real world at the same time as you’re moving around in the virtual world. This virtual boundary will help you stay within your cleared play area. It will appear in your VR experience when you’re near or touching its edge. As long as you pay attention and follow the in-game boundaries, this VR experience will be safe and fun for all.

How do I make a reservation?

All reservations are made online on this website (www.vrweplay.com) under BOOK NOW. We accept all major credit or debit cards. Please call or text us to schedule your VR Experience before purchase to make sure your desired time slot is available.

Is it possible to change or cancel a reservation?

  • Cancellations at least 48 hours or before your scheduled booking, will be issued a full store credit of the original purchasee price towards a future booking.

  • Cancellations between 24-48 hours of your scheduled booking, will be issued a 50% store credit from the original purchase price towards a future booking.

  • Cancellations less than 24 hours of your scheduled booking, will be issued a 25% store credit from the original purchase price towards a future booking.

  • No store credit will be given for no show.

  • No additional time will be extended for late comers.

Changes to the booking are not guaranteed and are subject to availability of the requested time change. Please reach out to us directly for opportunities to make changes to your booking.

What is the returns and refunds policy of E-Gift Card?

All Sales are Final. Gift cards are nonrefundable. Lost, misplaced or stolen gift cards are non-refundable, replaceable, nor valid. Gift cards are redeemable at the monetary value.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes. Gift cards can be purchased on our website.

How do I book for a large group?

If you'd like us to help book a group of more than 6 people, let us know on our Private Events page. You can also make special requests there.

What is Terms and Conditions of Gift Card?

We reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions without notice. Risk of loss passes to the purchaser of the E-Gift Card upon electronic transmission of the E-Gift Card to the recipient. We prohibits copying or duplications of our E-Gift Cards. Not refundable nor redeemable for cash except to the extent required by law. Our E-Gift Cards are Not for resale and we reserves the right Not to honor E-gift Cards Purchased from third-party sources. VRWePlay is not responsible for lost, stolen or misused E-Gift Card codes. E-Gift Cards are redeemable at the monetary value.

How much is the VR Experience?

Prices vary based on the number of players. Each session is 45 minutes long. Private gaming environment with no game choice restrictions.

You can modify your bookings such as the number of players up to the time of your reservations. Maximum 6 players per VR Session.

We are open 7 days a week by APPOINTMENT ONLY in our El Cerrito location. Spots are limited during holidays and weekends. Please call/text us at (510) 332-3233 in advance to reserve your VR Experience.

Gameplay

What is VR?

Virtual reality (VR) refers to a computer-generated simulation in which a person can interact within an artificial three-dimensional environment using electronic devices, such as special headset with a screen and hand-held fitted device with sensors.

Why choose VRWePlay?

VRWePlay provides a family friendly wireless virtual reality experience for people of all ages. We offer an array of VR experiences ranging from action games to a friendly table tennis match plus many varieties in between. We are taking steps to help protect your health by following all applicable laws and regulations concerning COVID-19 safety.

Is photo or video taking allowed?

Yes! We would love for you to share your experience with your friends, loved ones and social media. You can ask your host to take photos and videos of you during the session.

How many people can play?

A minimum of two people and up to 8 guests at once per session.

Groups larger than 8 can be accommodated. Our birthday packages can accomodate up to 14 guests.

What should I wear?

We recommend that you dress in light, comfortable clothing. This is an active experience, so wear something that won’t restrict your ability to move around the space.

How does the VRWePlay experience work?

It’s the closest thing to the “holodeck” that exists. We combine motion capture with the latest in VR technology to create the best wireless VR experience on the planet. It’s very different from VR experiences you might have tried at other places. That makes it a real challenge to explain. The only way to truly understand it is to try it for yourself.

How long is the experience?

Please plan for a total of about 60 minutes for your VRWePlay experience consisting of arrival to check in with your host(ess) 15 minutes prior to your booking time to ensure your VRWePlay experience does not get cut short. Each VR session is 45 minutes long.

This will consist of about 10 minutes of training and setup.

The remaining time is yours to enjoy the full VR experience.

Can I bring guests?

Yes! Each player with a ticket can bring one guest free of charge to watch and enjoy the VR experience on our big screen monitors on stage in the guest section.

What are the physical requirements for the experiences?

Guests must be

  • 8 Years or older & 1.2m (48″) or taller to play

  • Able to walk unassisted for 30 minutes continuously with full use of both hands. Some VR experiences are wheelchair friendly. Please check with us in advance to select the one that is suitable for you.

  • For guests under 18 years old, a parent/guardian must be physically present in the store during the session to sign a minor waiver form.

We do not recommend this experience to pregnant women or those with heart conditions.

When should I arrive?

You must check in at the store with the store host(ess) 15 minutes prior to your booking time. We cannot start until your whole party is present. Please account for traffic, parking, and time it takes to walk to store from parking when planning arrival. We have a strict 5 minute grace period policy for your reservation.

  • Guests who arrive less than 5 minutes late for the booking time, the experience will be shortened

  • To ensure our other guest booking are not impacted, make up time will not be added due to any tardiness.

  • No-shows will incur automatic cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of payment

Do you have a minimum age requirement?

Guests must be

Can I wear glasses?

Glasses can be worn. Each of our VR headset has a built-in glasses spacer. However, we recommend that you wear contacts as glasses may get scratched if they are more than 144 mm wide and 50 mm high.

What do we do with our personal belongings?

We have cabinets inside to safely store your belongings.

The Experience
